Fundraising on SignBot — a chatbot for people with hearing impairments

We are announcing the launch of a new initiative — the development and testing of SignBot, a chatbot for people with hearing impairments. To implement this initiative, we need your support on the dobro.ua platform from the Ukrainian Charity Exchange.
ABOUT SIGNBOT
Imagine that you cannot hear, but want to say something important — at a bank, hospital, shop, or even at home. People with hearing impairments face a language barrier every day, but technology can help overcome it.
SignBot is a chatbot that translates sign language into text and vice versa. It will become a bridge of understanding between those who can hear and those who communicate with gestures.
Users will be able to enter a word or phrase they want to translate into Ukrainian sign language in a Telegram chat and receive a video with the translation in response. In the first version, basic words and phrases will be available for translation, such as greetings, thanks, and clarifications about a person's needs. The pilot version will be tested by 100 people, and then the chatbot will become freely available to Telegram users.
The project is being implemented by the Hello, Ukraine charitable foundation in collaboration with the Ukrainian IT company Incode Group. To do this, 50,000 hryvnia needs to be raised.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
- Donate: any amount brings SignBot closer to launch and expands the accessibility of sign language.
- Start a fundraiser: rally your friends and family and speed up the fundraising process.
- Spread the word: repost the project, share it on social media.
- Join the testing: those willing to test the pilot version will help improve the chatbot.
By supporting this project, you are changing lives. Every donation is a step towards a world without barriers.
Support SignBot! Together, we will make language understandable for everyone.
